I forgot how much I enjoy creating with swirls and I was so inspired visiting a fabulous talented friends blog.

My imagination ran away creating with this cabinet from newest "The BeeKeeper's collection. I was captured with the idea to create this art paper doll because of my daughter's passion. Her top favorite children's movie is Beauty and the Beast. Once upon a time the servants of a young Prince's castle are enchanted into inanimate objects by a Sorceress and the story begins ...

My imagination took flight .

Oh what tiny hidden secrets, lie within those cabinet's drawers.

A little hint... maybe more wings ...very possible.

Bonjour Madame was a workshop & retreat that Artist Catherine Moore conducted in Paris, France in 2011. She received requests from a number of blog followers to make kits available for purchase, Catherine is currently making the stamps sets available.

2012 Calendar Collaborative Project

Might I Have A Bit Of Earth ?

A couple of months ago I was asked to participate in a 2012 Calendar Collaborative project. Chris Capista is the organizer and the theme was Catherine Moore's Character Constructions stamps. http://www.characterconstructions.com/

The way it worked was Chris picked the calendar theme. Next Catherine selected 12 artists to participate. We each were assigned one month and had to create a 8.5 x 11 portrait calendar page using Catherine stamps. We made 11 copies of your finished calendar page and send them to the other 11 participate. My month was June and is my above is my calendar page.

I want to say thank you to Chris and Catherine, this was such a positive creative experience. The calendar pages I have received so far are just so unique and beautiful. I have truly enjoy being apart of this project and can't wait for the rest of my calendar pages to arrive in the snail mail.

I had a blast creating my calendar page, my theme idea was creativity and Mother Earth.

To create the angels face I used the No. 1 stamp plate from The Beekeeper's Tea collection. I removed the teapot from upon her head and added the tiny pot to the funky Diva swan's fashion statement .

You can really use your big imagination and build your own artistic style creating "Art Fashionista Paper Dolls" .

Challenge your inner child.

The true enjoyable passion of building with these quirky `out of the box` personalities is there is such variety to challenge yourself with these artful creations.

You do have to allow yourself to take some artful risks and cut some body parts to make them your own designs.

That is one my goals to make my art work, reveal a piece of myself.

There are no mistakes ...creating art.

I have included images from amazing Marsha's Tumble Fish Studio latest Oh La La collage sheets. I wanted the page theme to be funky fairy style so this Diva gal is styling a Character Constructions big fluttery necklace pendant upon her neck.

The fashion fellow is just plain "fearless", yikes...he is priceless. LOL

As you can proberly guess the theme of this journal page was all about following your big dreams. I just adore this dreamy Tumble Fish Studio Diva face image. Her eyes are so soulful turquoise and tell such a tender story. I stamped the Character Constructions arms and legs onto patterned paper that would give a nice contrast to my background. I wanted to add soft colours so they would not be the focus of my story page. When I look at this journal page she speaks to me about having true vision in life.

The Tumble Fish Studio "Diva's" are so rocking awesome.

If you have not tired the new Character Constructions die cuts, they make art dolls that much more fun. I used the die cuts legs and created my own pattern on the legs. I cut them out on my big shot machine using red cardstock.I had a artful time using my imagination full of color for her styling funky boots look.

Alice is used to bizarre dreams, but this is the oddest one yet ! She keeps telling herself it is just a dream and considers pinching herself to wake up, but nothing works. Things are still very weird.

The theme for this months Doll-a-mania workshop at Bizzy B's was "Spread Your Wings And Let Your Imagination Fly".

I have to be honest when this workshop was completed I felt a little sad that it was over. I had enjoy all the special shared moments and I will treasure them always.

I can't wait till the next workshop in June, it will be here before we know it. All I can say is creating Character Constructions art dolls rock.

Long lashes rule...

Orange and pink are the spotlight of colours this year.
Styling my natural animal print is all the current fashion going on.

It is so magical creating art paper dolls, the possibilities are endless. If you have Character Constructions art doll body parts the fun begins.
I did adjust the CC stamped hands and created kitty paws. I like when creating an animal art doll for it to be kinda believable. (you get my drift, LOL)
I still like the art doll to have that playful whimsical feeling,for example long human eyes lashes . Even though not many cats have eyes lashes like these , except my version of this Fashion Palooza.
She was so much fun to create and there will be more of these "Kitty Diva's" in my creative future.

Inner Language

Sometimes without knowing from our obstacles in life, we are giving a new direction.

Hold Fast To Your Dreams

Nothing feels more positive then having dreams and wonderful life goals.

At this moment of my life, one of my goals is to get well. I went to the doctor's yesterday, after listening to my chest. My doctor shared I sounded like a pipe factory. LOL I got a giggle out of that visual thought, my imagination started running away. Anways I found out I have pneumonia.

The curse of the headless horsemen is the legacy of this small town of Sleepy Hollow.

Spearheaded by Icabond Crane and his world ways into the quagmire of secrets and murder, secrets once laid to rest, best forgotten and now reawakened and he too, holding a dark secret of a past once gone.

I was so inspired by movie director amazing Tim Burton, he is so magical.

When I looked at this Character Constructions stamped image of this vintage dress, my imagination focus took me to thoughts of the creepy cool tree in the Johnny Depp's incredible movie "The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow".

I am an Aquaruis, so that explains my fascination with the sea. I love the colors of the water and the mysterious sea creatures.

Creating art paper dolls is so magical, it is always a mystery the direction of your imagination.

I truly enjoy adding butterflies and snowflakes are winter's butterflies.

Using the Character Constructions new die cut crinoline skirt, is perfect for adding a piece of vintage lace. The lace piece inserts great, after adding your glue between the two layers of paper.

Crimson and Clover, over and over. I will be humming this song for days. LOL

Lately I have been seeing a lot of artistic recycled clothing and they are so creative. This is where the idea came from, for this Character Constructions art paper doll dress. This little diva is such a free spirit and I enjoy going barefoot too. LOL

Powerful

Sometimes you need say nothing at all.

I really had a great time creating this art doll tag. She screams colorful or does she ? What is her story ... looking at the world through violet colored eyes.

I used a Character Constructions stamp for the main body parts, I enjoy creating with this unique tea cup skirt. It is so "out of the box" funky.

This is another tag for the metal receipt holder project, that I am working on. I love the look of these coffee stained tags. They smell so yummy and share a vintage feeling.

Her spooky witch fingers surround her precious kitty cat and perhaps is this her funky daily apparel that hangs up in closet

This Character Constructions corset tag is the first of a series of eight tags, I am working on to complete a project.When it is all finished I will share it with you. It is a vintage receipt holder in black, reminds me of eight mouse traps. LOL It is a really neat metal surface, to add tags too.

The kitty tag was just for fun and isn't this kitty stamp spooktacular. These seasoned tags smell so full of fragrance from coffee and vanilla staining method. I enjoy wrapping thin wire around the tags, for a rocking fun look.

It is so much fun as you are creating an art piece and your imagination starts working. Every art piece starts telling me, an untold story in my mind. The magic of art creating is such a mystery and endless moments of pleasure. A dear friend said to me awhile ago, you have to love what you are creating.

This is so true and where our passion for art grows strong.

You never know who you might see ?

This week a really dear friend and I took an adventurous trip to Bizzy B's Scrap and Stamp art store located in Toronto, Ontario .

We travel by the bus ,train and the subway.

I have not been on a subway in 22 years, so this was a blast from the past for me. I had forgotten all the stairs and I was a lot younger then.

The city of Toronto is a beautiful place, I grew up there.

Getting back to the wonderful art store that offers all your mixed media art supplies needs and wants.I can guarantee you will not be disappointed visiting this funky art store and it has all the Stampington magazine for starters. "How awesome is that" !!!! It could be dangerous because you will want them all if you are anything like me. I did use my self control, remembering coming home to my darling husband. haha My hubby is always so good to me.

All I can say what a totally fun dayand that is what life is all about !!!

Fun

I attend a class this week and it was wonderful. I love creating with beeswax on canvas.

When I put this beeswax art piece in this copper frame it came alive. The colors just popped and worked well. I am really enjoying using the color of copper in my art work.

The smell, the texture and look of beeswax are so pleasing to work with.

Live for now are such powerful words.

Smile your mouth is full of tiny blue people, can you get your teeth around that. LOL I had so much fun creating this art doll, the stamped head image is called Crazy teeth. I like the idea of adding an art doll to a tag, so you can hang it somewhere of your choice. This very fragrant tag was stained with coffee grinds and scented with cinnamon + vanilla.

The theme of this art paper doll was simply crazy, I think we all have our moment crazy. I do believe in my heart, that is really ok ...

Art Begins With A Vision

Begin to see life within every object

I usual gathering my art ideas on my daily walk and then my art vision comes to me what to create. The creative mind is fascinating.

I wanted to answer a question one of my followers mentioned to me. Character Constructions are the art stamps in the picture with me in my most resent posting. They are created by art designer Catherine Moore. I use these stamps to create my art paper dolls. I hope this answers your question, they are so awesome to create with.

I had such fun creating this art doll. I added her to a tag so I could hang her up somewhere, to enjoy. The tag has a fragrance of Cinnamon and coffee and is stained with coffee grinds. The eye is my main focus because my theme is vision.

I used the new die cut crinoline skirt from Character Constructions for this art doll, it is so neat to create with. I stamped the original crinoline skirt under the die cut skirt. I love how you can see the color under the die cut and you can tie ribbon to the die cut. I used patterned paper for this die cut skirt design.

I wanted to share my artful visit with you. I had the pleasure of going to The Art House Studio located in Kitchener,Ontario. What an awesome mixed media art store, I just loved everything.LOL One of thing that really stands out in my mind about the store is,it gives you new directions on your art journey. All the supplies are so out of the box and very updated. I am so excited !!! I have been dreaming of attending art workshops to challenge myself to go in a new art direction. Now my dreams will become a reality, always lots to learn in the art world. Well I could just gone on forever about this wonderful store but I think that says it all.

My art will be forever changed is my final word. I hope you enjoy seeing all this stunning art work.

Oh how I enjoy Halloween, it is on it way. I love the costume's, the colors, the weather and the pumpkins.

I created this little Character Constructions art paper doll for a Halloween swap I have joined for October.

It was fun adding a big tall hat with a fish over her eye brows and the little time piece set in her purple bones. LOL My idea for this art theme is she glowed with magic. My inner thoughts are that all artists "glow" filled with magic.

A fish from an older book started this creative ideas for this mermaid themed art doll. Then I added a butterfly to her head to give a whimsical feeling. I wanted her to have a unique patterned tail of her own and a funky sea shell belt. This mermaid art paper doll was fun to create using Character Constructions with my other paper doll parts. Under those butterfly wings is Catherine Moore's Marie Antoinette hiding from the Queen of Tarts.

This is an art doll I created for a September Witch Swap I have joined. I used the new die cut crinoline from Character Constructions, I trimmed it a bit shorter than the actually size. I really like how you can have different things peeking through the die cut. I stamped the crinoline image under the die cut and left it longer for a funky fashion look. This was my first time to play with the die cut and I love it. "endless possibilities"

Do you remember that song ? I think it was by the group the Bangles. LOL

She Is Invincible

This Character Constructions art doll stamped image was originally a lot smaller and Catherine has re created her larger. She is a big girl now. LOL I love her new size, she is so adorable. Her dress is so much fun to work with, I had fun cutting it in half. Then I added some funky text to the middle of her dress and daisy flowers to the bottom. Stripes add such a whimsical playful feeling to your art paper doll. This sunflower art doll is going on my list of favorite's, there are so many creative possibilities with her groovy style .

Character Constructions newest toy! Catherine Moore has created a new die cut crinoline skirt.

The above photos are from Catherine's amazing blog, go take a peek. The above art dolls are created by Catherine and the little women sea creature was created by talented Lisa Guerin. I love how you can see the claws showing through the new die cut of Lisa's art doll crinoline skirt. Catherine art doll is showing the stamped crinoline and besided it the die cut skirt example. The art dolls are fabulous, love them both !!

The die cut will fit a cuddle bug, sissix or bigshot machine, oh what fun to come.

This new toy is going to make creating art paper dolls even more fun. I think the possibilities are limitless with this new die cut skirt. I love the way images show through the die cut crinoline, you can see example on Lisa's art doll crinoline.

This is just the beginning... I can't wait to play.

Atc Zetti Girl Swap

When I created these Zetti atc's my feelings were of reflections of an artist.
Wild women create art,they used to wonder about their direction ? Within each artist is this wild child who will never grow up and loves to create.
The one atc is my first attemp using zentangles patterns in my background, I can see why these are so relaxing to create. I am a born doodle person at heart and this is just perfect for me. It is such a cool feeling when you try something new in your art and "instantly" you feel change forever going in a new direction. I am so excited to create more zentangle patterns, the ideas are endless. I think zetti and zentangles really complement each other. Oh I am really excited, if you have not tried creating these patterns give them a try. I am hooked for sure. LOL
Last week was a busy one for me I had toe surgery. The freezing needle is forever in my memory I will not soon forget.(not fun at all, hahaha) I had a really great doctor at the hospital, so gentle.
A positive thing did happen, I made one of my goals and have lost a total of 60 pounds. I have 5 more to lose,it feels really great...

I had so much fun creating this funky art paper doll,I love stripes in my art work.LOL This colorful gals Character Constructions skirt is a toy theatre and on stage is none other than Charlie Chaplin. Watch out she will cast a spell on you... I thought she had a magical mysterious look about her that is why I added the "Book of Spells" with the inner pages blowing away in the wind. Watch out you never know what the wind will blow in ....

Sweet Dreams

Alice is used to bizarre dreams,but this is the oddest one yet! She keeps telling herself it is just a dream and considers pinching herself to wake up, but nothing works. Things are very weird.

Whenever I am creating a dreamy theme, I find myself using this lovely Catherine Moore art doll face. She is from the fabulous Inner Child clear stamp collection, she looks so peaceful. I was trying to create Alice is entering into her magical dream not knowing what her fate will be.This enchanted peaceful spirit is kindly watching over her to guide through her wonderland crossroads.

I wanted to share this because the colors looked so artful and I loved the little doggie paw prints. The sand looked so pretty like a periwinkle color.

I hope to create some new art work soon, this has been a busy summer.

Astounding Time

Today I heard a very powerful thought, I wanted to share with you.

Do you feel you have chose a fight against life or to live at peace with life.

It is all up to you what direction your life journey travels I am trying to focus on the friendly life suggestion. This has given me a lot to think about "a new way to look at life". Stop fighting all these inner self battles and move on. Sometimes it is such a struggle to find true happiness.

I wanted to add some funky elements to this Character Constructions art paper doll. Polars bears are suppose to be white but I wanted my little peeking bears to be purple.LOL It is the magic of creating art, the choice's are endless.

Alice In Zetti Land

It all begins on a hot summer afternoon when the White Rabbit runs past Alice as she lies dozing in the meadow, takes a watch out of his waistcoat pocket and hurries down the large rabbit hole. Alice follows him down down down into a topsy turvy world where anything can happen.
Nothing is what is seems in Zetti Land it is so magical and full of creative odd characters.
Alice had been looking over her shoulder when the Hatter appeared. The Hatter eyes opened very wide but all he said was, Why is a raven like a writing desk ? Exactly "time to create art" !!!
This is not the end only the beginning....

Look at these beautiful artful treasures that arrived in my mailbox. I am just thrilled.

A while ago a very talented fellow blogger wrote to me and asked if I would be interested in trading art. I was immediately delighted and excited with this awesome idea. Sharon Borsavage from Livewire Jewellery created these stunning handmade unique jewellery pieces. I adore the colors and wear them proudly. They are so funky and cleverly designed. I had to share them with you.

When I started blogging I didn't know what to expect. Blogging has been more rewarding than I ever dreamed of. I feel such a strong friendship connection to Sharon and I know we will be life long friends.

Creating our art is so magical and so are the pleasures that come along with it.

Brave boots

Frabjous day to Dawn-the day when Alice will slay the Jabberwocky. Then the White Queen will rule again and everyone will Futterwacken. The Mad Hatter is the only one who believes

that this is the true Alice. Now it is up to Alice to prove him right.

I picked this quote from Alice in Wonderland because somedays life feels like a battle.LOL It is always great to know someone believes in you and at the end of the day you can " do a big happy dance". There is always a new day full of dreams...

This Character Constructions art doll is ready for anything styling her maverlous brave boots. Sometimes you have to put these boots on to say I can do it !!!!! It is a new day with no mistakes.
